Grandma Tweedie's Gingerbread

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup crisco
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp lemon juice
1 egg
1 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup boiling water

Cream sugar and crisco together. Sift flour and add spice. Add egg to sugar and crisco. Add baking soda to boiling water and add rest of ingredients, boiling water and bake.
Bake in oven 350 30 -35 min
