Iced Fruit Drop Cookies

2 C Flour Sifted
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp clove
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 C soft shortening
1 1/3 C brown sugar
1 egg unbeaten
1 C nuts
1 C raisins (cook in small amount of water)
2 C chopped apples, unpeeled
1/2 C raisin juice

Cream the shortening and brown sugar. Add unbeaten egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients with raisin juice. Add raisins, apples, and nuts. Bake at 375 for 11 to 14 min. While cookies are still warm spread with glaze.

Glaze

1 1/2 C xxxx sugar sifted
1 tbs soft butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
2 1/2 tbs light cream
